Choir Announcements & Program Updates
Good Afternoon CHS Choir Parents and Students.
I hope this email finds you safe and warm on this rainy and chilly afternoon. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! It is hard to believe that the first week of December is upon us. It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating Labor Day.
Thank you to all of the parents and students who helped make this year’s Thanksgiving Potluck a huge success. The food was delicious and the students had a great time bonding and developing new friendships over a wonderful meal.
Last Saturday, eight members of the Centennial High School Choral Department competed in the Pre-Area level auditions of the Texas All-State Choir process. Of these students, three were selected to advance to the fourth and final audition as representatives of our choir, our school, and our region. This year's area candidates include:
Davis Dunn - 1st Chair Tenor II
Trey McHazlett - 5th Chair Bass I
Dylan Scott - 4th Chair Bass II
Jennifer McGee - 7th Chair Soprano I (Alternate)
We are so proud of each of the students that participated in today's auditions and all of those who engaged in this process throughout the school year. Your desire to become better musicians through this study and performance of music is greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of the time and energy you have put in to enriching both yourselves and your choirs.
